Accra Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed said they will
be ready to resume from where they left off when the 2019/20 Ghana football
season was put on hold following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic,
He added that the players have stayed at home for long and
are yearning to return to the field of play to do what they know best.
“We have been at home observing all the health protocols and
when given the mandate to resume training, we will be ready for the go”, Fatawu
told Hearts Media.
He recounted that the team was taking shape prior to the
halt of the league and believed that Hearts would have been at or near the top
of the league, ladder had the season not been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Fatawu called on fans of the club to remain resolute in
these difficult times and tasked them to come in their number’s ton support the
team when the action returns.
“We are committed to making Hearts great again and, we will
give off our very best for the club when the league resumes as we seek to end
our decade long trophy drought”, Fatawu ended.
