Auroras Update: Enock Addi not far from the first team

The name Enock Ansah Addi might not ring a bell on the limbs of many an Accra Hearts of Oak fan, but those who have followed our youth team regularly will attest to the fact that a would-be impressive midfielder is being moldered for the club.

Addi has been part of our youth system for three years now and he is regarded highly by the coaching staff after some impressive displays in friendly and competitive matches.

The youngster is yearning for the breakthrough to the senior team where he has trained at in the past. He was regularly invited by then-head coach Kim Grant to train with the first team and was featured in a couple of friendly games.

He is an enforcer and a game-changer in the Auroras setup and, Coach Edward Odoom rates him highly among those he is currently grooming for the first team.

But the player remains modest in his own assessment telling Hearts Media that his head is cool and will continue working on his game to get to the top.

“I was close to joining the first team during the era of Coach Kim Grant and the experienced gained training with the team and playing a a couple of games, improved my confidence and, I want to carry on from there”, he said.

“I look forward to the return of football after the coronavirus pandemic is over and, it is my wish that I keep improving on my performances at this stage to earn the breakthrough that I seek’, he added.

Addi and his teammates will hope the game returns as soon as possible with Auroras billed to participate in the Greater Accra Second Division League where they will continue horning their talents hoping for a first team promotion.
