Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Robert Addo Sowah has said, he
wants to take every opportunity available to him at the club to reach the
levels expected of a top defender.
The 26-year-old who joined the club in 2017, was a mainstay
at the heart of the Phobians defence during the now suspended 2019/20 Ghana
football season and is looking forward to carrying on from where he left off
when football returns.
“At Hearts of Oak, there are many opportunities that a
player can take advantage of and history has taught us that those who played
with a blissful heart for the club, went on to do great things for themselves
in their future endeavours”, Addo told Hearts Media.
“The club will give you opportunities to play in big games
both in Ghana and on the African continent and, I am looking forward specially
to playing in the CAF Champions League with Hearts of Oak to showcase more of
my talent”, he added.
Addo, who has mad 41 appearances for the club with one goal since
joining the club from Prampram based Uncle T United, said he is looking forward
to the resumption of football after the coronavirus pandemic is over.
“I like playing in the big games and I am readying myself
for some big days ahead knowing the club and the supporters will back us
(players) to do more for Hearts as we seek to win on all fronts”, he said.
The player has been training on his own on a programme
prepared for the playing body by the technical team during this pandemic and
hopes to bounce back with great passion to carry on with his dream of reaching
the very top of his game.
