Board member Frank Nelson led a delegation of fellow
Project Committee members to inspect ongoing works on the Pobiman Academy
Project on Wednesday.
They were warmly welcomed to the site by the head of
the local construction firm, Joseph Kofi Adjei who informed them on the progress
of work after three weeks of being on-site.
K.A Estates Company Limited are the local and have
been on site preparing the groundwork for the main contractors Prefabex Yapi
Teknolojiller San Ve Tic Limited to oversee the main project.
The local construction firm has been tasked to wrap
up their work in three months. Afterwards, the Turkish firm, Prefabex
Construction will take over the construction of what is expected to be an
Mr Adjei took the team through work done so far and
what is to come and, on the timelines, set for their separate conclusion. He
was positive that all scheduled timelines would be met.
Work is progressing sturdily as Ghana’s Premier club
looks to chalk yet another first in the annals of football in the country with
the construction of a first-class infrastructure.
Mr Nelson expressed satisfaction on the work done so
far and was hopeful that this first phase of the project would be completed on
the scheduled deadline.
He appealed to the club’s supporters to have faith
and trust in the board as they are bent on placing Hearts of Oak at the top of
the game not only in Ghana but also internationally.
When completed, the Pobiman Academy Project
will have a staff residence, senior housing unit, gym, training centres (pitches),
laundry, swimming pool, lockers, toilets, kitchen and dining hall among others.
