Emmanuel Neetey: Our midfilder is a trained journalist

By George Osei

Accra Hearts of Oak have had some educated players to have featured for the club in the past and, they excelled both on and off the pitch.

Some notable names among them are former Ghana international Joseph Addo who holds a degree from the George Mason University in the United States.

Others are Desmond Amoah, accountant (SSNIT), Ian Acquah, Immigration Officer, Mills Aryee, Accountant, George Tackie, Accountant and Evans Aryeequaye, Accountant and current chairman of our old player's association, AHOOPA among others.

The latest to join the bandwagon in our present squad is
Emmanuel Nettey who joined the club last season.

The midfielder who was a showman in the middle of the park during the cancelled 2019/20 season for the Phobians, holds a certificate in journalism and could pursue that career later.

He started his football career at Sharks FC in Prampram and also enjoys playing FIFA games digitally, loves the music of Ghanaian highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena and is the best chef when in camp with his colleagues.

Nettey is anciously waiting for the return of football after the Covid-19 pandemic and will hope to carry on from where he left off last season.
