Match Report: Hearts of oak vs King Faisal

Two goals from Obeng Jnr and Afriyie against King Faisal were enough to keep us in the race for the premier league title.

A second half resurgence from team Hearts after the introduction of Daniel Afriyie who came on to replace Victor Aidoo did help to put a lot of pressure on the defence of Faisal. The pressure from the rejuvenated Hearts front liners meant there was going to be a goal eventually.

Obeng Jnr did put Hearts ahead midway through the second half after slotting in from Daniel Afriyie's pass.

Substitute Daniel Afriyie ensured that he exerted more pressure on King Faisal forcing them to make numerous mistakes at the back.

The substitute's goal came after man of the match , Salifu Ibrahim beat an offside trap and laid a cool pass on the path of Daniel Afriyie who capitalised on the situation to slot in the second goal. A well deserved goal after all the work be came to do since his introduction.

Five points separate Ghana's top four - with Kotoko leading, Medeama in second and Olympics in third with Hearts on fourth with eleven games to end the season.

Hearts will next play Bechem United on Wednesday.
