Accra Hearts of Oak's men are a win away from becoming the FA Cup winners for the season after an emphatic win over Medeama in the semifinals at the CapeCoast stadium.

A first-half strike from Benjamin Afutu put the GPL champions into the lead after a precise cross from Isaac Mensah met an anticipating Benjamin Afutu. The goal seems to have made the magic. The trend of the game changed thereafter and team Hearts dominated the game throughout.

The second goal nailed the day for the phobians after Isaac Mensah capitalised on a blunder by the goalkeeper of Medeama. He calmly slotted in the goal after a struggle between kwakwa and Patrick Razak ended up in the direction of Frank Boateng who miskicked only for the ball to fall on the path of Isaac Mensah the rest was history.

Hearts were obviously not satisfied as they continue to search for more goals. They chased their quest and applied pressure which resulted in a penalty. Barnieh stepped forward to take the penalty, he sent the goalie the wrong way to make it goal number three.

The result means we are through to the finals and we will face Ashanti Gold on the 8th of August,2021.This win over Medeama is the second since Coach Boadu, their former coach joined Hearts this season. His tactics going into that game worked perfectly making his side triumph over Medeama.
