Asubonteng: We’re full of belief

Enoch Asubonteng says Hearts’ Champions League victory over CI Kamsar has increased the team’s confidence even more amongst the Phobians ahead of their next Champions League fixture against Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.

Asubonteng is one of the new players recruited to augment the Hearts squad for the CAF Champions league and the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league Campaign. “I think we can draw a lot of confidence from the Kamsar game” said Asubonteng.

“I've got to work hard in training every day and show the coaches that I am ready to be part of this squad. I've got to give him that trust so he will be ready to play me. I'll be ready, I'll always be ready to play and always ready to come on when needed. I see it that when I do get the chance to play, it's also my chance to help the team”.

“We've got a very strong team which can go on and on. We've got to make sure we prepare right, go in and get ready for the WAC game. That's what's important and everyone's looking forward to it”.

“We're very confident, full of belief with the quality of players we have. We will go into every game, no matter who we play, ready to be ruthless in front of goal and defend our box as well”.

“We've done well in big games, against big opponents and it's another chance for us to go out there and show what collectively we've got and what we're about”.

“The way we've started, I can only say we need to go into the game full of confidence. The WAC team is a very good side, full of quality players judging from the matches they’ve played so far in their league and we know the dangers they can cause, but we'll be ready for them because we have to work well to defend the image of our club-Hearts”.
