“Sick” Hearts of Oak pips GoldStars.

After struggling to raise a squad for match day 29 against GoldStars, Hearts were the victors at the end of the day after Inkoom scored his second goal from the spot to give Hearts the only goal in the game and all three points.

Hearts who started strong in an attempt to get an early goal put some beautiful string of passes together from the middle when Muntari sent a through pass to Yorke who controlled and was kicked down just when he was about to make a turn and shoot at goal.

Referee Latif blew for a penalty which was expertly taken by Inkoom.

It was very obvious that the players were struggling but the good thing is that they gave a good account of themselves.

Coach Micheal Osei of Gild Stars praised the players, he said “this is the team that is sick and you could see that, but imagine if they were strong. The players who stood in were equally good. They gave my team a tough game even though my team dominated the game especially in the second half".

Speaking to Coach Boadu after the game he said “as of now we don’t have the lab results yet to tell exactly what the sickness is. I had to fall on the few players who are a little bit stable even though they are not well”.

“I am happy we won but I will be happy if they get better before we leave for Techiman. Their lives matter”.

Hearts by virtue of winning that match has now moved to the third position on the league log.
