Hearts vs RTU ; Last match of the league season

It is the last match of the season and a pride to play for as we host Real Tamale United in matchday-34 in what promises to be an entertaining match considering the fact that RTU are battling relegation and Hearts are looking to build a momentum as they go into their last match of the season which happens to be the MTN FA Cup finals in Kumasi.

The two teams have not had a good run as the season winds up with RTU gathering 5 points from a possible 15 and Hearts just 4 points from same. Hearts are coming on the back of defeat while RTU were victorious in their last match against King Faisal.

The battle for relegation means that RTU would have to win in order to stay in the league for next season.

Hearts may have lost out on the league but they are determined to ensure that they put smiles on the faces of the fans to make up for their last three painful defeats. The team believes that winning will spark a positive vibe and propel them into the finals.

The last time the two teams met it ended in a draw at the Tamale Sports Stadium. In their last 5 encounters there’s been 1 draw and 2 wins each spanning from 2010 season.

Speaking to coach Hamza, he said “we’ve not had a good end to this season and so the only thing we need to do is to work harder, correct our mistakes from previous games and hope for the best”.

A fan said “We know RTU will come all out and will want to prove stubborn because their survival in the league is at stake. We are equally ready because that match will spark a momentum for us as we eye the MTN FA Cup Final. We need this victory as fans.”
