Hearts currently has the best squad in the League - Nii Ayibonte II. 

With one more trophy to fight for before the new football season, the 2022/23 season starts, the king of the Gbese land has encouraged Hearts’ players and told them to have it at the back of their minds that the team currently has the best squad in the Ghana Premier League competition. 

Though Hearts missed out to successfully defend the league title, the good thing is that they are FA Cup winners and are representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation competition, the Gbese king said. 

He added that defending the FA Cup trophy once again gives the team the opportunity to prove their worth hoping that they will make Phobians and Ghana Football proud. 

He admonished the playing body to get themselves into a winning mood because he believes there will be another visit to his palace after winning the super cup when the team plays against arch-rivals, Kotoko on 4th September 2022. “We are left with one more trophy to win this season and that is the champion of champions. It will not come easy but I believe that with good preparation and good focus you will make us all proud once again”. 

The king is very positive about the team and believes their hard work will surely pay off. He mentioned that “I am very positive that you will be victorious and you will visit me again with that trophy.” The king was very delighted to see the players call on him for his blessings in every step of the way and he promised “to be there” for them. He added that “togetherness should be the main focus and the team will continue to excel. “I don't want to talk much but I believe we will do well again” he spoke.

The super cup is played between the league winner and the FA Cup winners to usher in the new football season.
