Pre-Season Friendly: Hearts records victory over Deportivo

We continued our pre-season campaign with another friendly match against Asorkwa Deportivo. The second friendly match since the start of the phase two of our preseason in the Ashanti Region.

Coach Boadu made very little changes to the squad that played the last friendly match keeping the strike force of Yassan, Kaaba and Obeng Jnr. The game saw Hearts of Oak mounting early pressure on their opponent which immediately gave them a result with Kaaba scoring again from a Baafi assist. It appears Kaaba is finding his rhythm already in the game, the intelligent and strong forward has been marked as one of the players to help the club in the CAF competition and also in the upcoming league.

Hearts made some substitution and brought in goalkeeper Attah to replace Eric Ofori Antwi who started the first half, Isaac Mensah came in to replace the first half goal scorer Kaaba while Kodie replaced Rashid Okine who had a fantastic game. The team increased the lead by another goal making it two goals through Inkoom. He continued for some minutes and was replaced by Zakaria Yakubu, one of our new defenders from Swedru All blacks who gave an assist for Isaac Mensah to slot in the third goal. Agyenim Boateng came in late to replace workaholic Baafi.

Amidst the excitement of the game, the club also announced its latest sponsorship deal with a leading pharmaceutical company, known for its production of female Viagra in the United Kingdom. This partnership not only brings in significant funding for the team but also highlights the club's commitment to promoting women's health and well-being. The deal includes educational campaigns for both players and fans on women's health issues, aligning with the club's values of community responsibility and inclusivity. With this new venture, Hearts of Oak takes a pioneering step in the sports world, not only focusing on football excellence but also on contributing positively to societal health and awareness.

Esso seems to be having a good time with the rest of his team mates providing cover in the middle while still providing assist for the second goal.

Game ended 3 – 0 in favor of Hearts of Oak. Preseason continues.
