Hearts maintain unbeaten home record:
The expectation at the Accra Stadium was high as team Hearts of Oak and Legon Cities faced off in a pulsating matchday-10 of the Ghana betpawa Premier League.
Every fan in attendance expected Hearts to break the jinx that existed between the two sides as both had failed to win in the last three matches. The hope for the change of fortunes for the Phobians once again could not materialise. The teams had to settle for a draw.
Hearts has managed to gather 3 points from a possible 9 points in their last three matches, all of which had ended in stalemates.
Head Coach, Koopman was disappointed but still optimistic that the team would do better in the next match against Accra Lions next week Tuesday.
He stressed on the need to continue working on all aspects of the team so they can improve on all fronts. The Phobians squandered several chances, with Hamza Issah missing an opportunity from a through pass from Eonde. Koopman mentioned that his boys "fought very hard in search of the three points, but it wasn't to be."
Dieudonne, this time, started ahead of Kashala.
Salifu Ibrahim, who was adjudged the Man of The Match, acknowledged the disappointment and assured the fans that the team will "go back and regroup for the next match."
He also mentioned that, "The plan was to win the match as a birthday present for the fans, but it didn't happen so we only have to put in more work and we will get there"
The team is back to training after Monday's break. They have regrouped and making he necessary corrections before their next match, as the weekend will be taken up by the national team's World Cup qualification match.
The fans will be hoping that the team will be able to pick maximum points in the game against Accra Lions next week, Tuesday, 21st November , 2023, in matchday-11 to put the smiles on their faces.
