Barnieh's brace was enough to secure Hearts all three points . A win that seems to have boosted the confidence of the phobian boys as that lifted them to fourth place in the league table.


The man of the match scored with a shot after Salifu's attempt at goal was saved by goal keeper Appiah Kubi for Barnieh to capitalise on it for a close-range kick. 


Ayi was on holiday as he kept a clean sheet.


Shortly before Barnieh's goal, Salifu Ibrahim's shot came off the goalkeeper of Accra Lions who also made some saves. He made a save from a goal bound shot from Obeng Jnr. 

Obeng jnr had tormented the defense of Accra Lions before he was stretched out due to an injury. 


Hearts of Oak were made to work harder for the three points. They missed some few chances in the first ten minutes in their attempt to get an early goal. Eventually the pressure paid off after Awako, who's performance was spot on took hold of the midfield to distribute passes one of which he laid to Salifu who also dribbled the goalie and kicked a ball that bounced off the goalkeeper for Barnieh to tap in. 


Head Coach Boadu made some substitutions when he introduced Agyenim Boateng after Obeng was roughly tackled and taken out for injury. 

The game was briefly stopped in order to take care of the tormentor who had been injured. 


Barnieh made it three from Muntari's trademark cross after he headed home the corner taken by the former champions league winner. He announced his presence after some few weeks of Absence from the team. A good announcement it was. 

Speaking to Coach Boadu he mentioned that the significant presence of Salifu Ibrahim because of the telepathic play between him and eventual man of the match, Daniel Barnieh. 

"Salifu's inclusion really helped Barnieh because of the telepathy between them." Said Coach Boadu


Hearts' win lifts them into fourth spot on 40 points. Hearts will play Dreams FC in their next match at the same venue, Accra Sports Stadium next Sunday at 3pm.
