Caleb earns late Galaxies call up

Black Galaxies coach, Annor Walker has drafted Caleb Amankwah into Ghana's squad for the CHAN tournament slated for Algeria early next year.

Caleb Amankwah has been handed a late call up, thus increasing the number of players from Accra Hearts of Oak to 6.

Speaking to Caleb Amankwah, he mentioned to heartsofoaksc.com that he is “very happy to get this call up. This has proven to me that hard work pays. When you work hard, you will get what you deserve. I will make sure that I make Ghana and my club proud as well".

Caleb is currently with the Hearts team to play against Nsoatreman on Tuesday. He will immediately report to the Galaxies camp when the team travels back to Accra.

Caleb, who played a near to perfect role in the friendly against the Galaxies with a great defensive performance will be hoping to make the final squad into the main team that goes to Algeria.

The Black Galaxies is scheduled to leave Ghana early to begin camping and acclimatize in Egypt before finally leaving for the tournament in Algeria.

Ghana is drawn in the same group with Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar.

Congratulations to our dependable defender. We are proud of you.
