Hearts-Lions Clash On May-Day In A 3PM Kick Off:

The Accra Sports Stadium should certainly be the place to be this Wednesday, Labour Day, as the country celebrates our gallant and loyal workers. The venue will host Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Lions in the week-28 fixture of the Ghana Premier League competition.

Football fans are poised to witness a beautiful clash between these two sides, as the Hearts of Oak team that makes Ghana football thick is set to face off against their cross-town neighbours, Accra Lions FC who themselves have recorded some enviable results this season.

Originally scheduled for a Saturday night showdown, the match was moved to Wednesday afternoon due to television scheduling conflicts. This shift only added fuel to the fire of excitement amongst the fans and players alike.

For Hearts of Oak, this match is more than just another fixture on the calendar. It is an opportunity to extend our dominance over Accra Lions and also get back to recording positive results. In all six previous encounters between the two sides, Hearts had emerged victorious after the show of determination and high fighting spirit. 

Accra Lions, buoyed by recent victories and a surge in form, are not prepared to be mere footnotes going into matchday-28. Interestingly, Accra Hearts of Oak, who are the "owners" of Ghana football have spent countless hours on the training grounds, meticulously honing their tactics and sharpening their skills, all in preparation towards this match.

Hearts' charges will be looking to regain their winning ways by bouncing back from the defeat in their last encounter against Legon Cities. 

Speaking to the players, they mentioned that they are determined to put the smiles on the faces of the fans. 

The players mentioned that the presence of the fans would be much appreciated as they would see it as spending time with the fans to make the day a memorable one.
